FacePhi has welcomed Bianca Lopes, expert in digital identity, as a new member of the Advisory Board of this technology company, leader in the fintech biometrics sector. Lopes thus becomes the first woman in the world to be part of an Advisory Board of a biometrics company listed on the stock market. The arrival of this specialist, with an extensive experience in international projects, aims to strengthen the company’s expansion strategy.
For FacePhi’s CEO, Javier Mira, “with the appointment of Lopes, we are taking a further step forward in our equality policy, favoring and promoting the participation of women in positions of responsibility within our corporate organization chart.” Mira has specified: “Progress in society is built with deeds, not words, and with this appointment we want to take advantage of the valuable training of this professional to consolidate our business project at an international level.”
Bianca Lopes has a highly technical background, as an economist and mathematician, which has led her to specialize in the field of digital identity and data. She has a wide international experience and she has held positions of responsibility as CIO in a company in the biometrics sector and in the financial sector, in addition to collaborating with more than 40 financial institutions and various governments, advising them on technology issues.
Likewise, this digital identity expert has significant international experience as a speaker in conferences related to data management, identity and security within the financial sector. Her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to co-found the company Talle, specialized in technology and strategic consulting services.
Lopes herself has stressed that “identity and privacy are problems that today’s world must face.” On the recent appointment as a member of FacePhi Advisory Board, she pointed out that it is “an opportunity to improve the global positioning of FacePhi and delve into biometrics and onboarding.”
The digital identity expert has participated in SIBOS, which is considered one of the main financial services events in the world. In this meeting, Lopes will address the need to understand biometrics and leadership in the financial market. In addition, she has recently published an article she co-authored with Citibank, which focuses on the importance of having an identity system for banks.
